Born in Faj\u00e3 de Baixo in 1921, he started early working in the greenhouses that belonged to his mother. He begins his professional life in bank. After opening a children\u2019s clothing store in Ponta Delgada, he leaves the bank to dedicate himself to his business activity, where he develops business in the area of livestock and pineapple production. Entrepeneur, he transforms the company in his own name, in one of the main pineapple exporters in the Azores for the past 30 years.
