With a wooden spatula, the crown’s central meristem is cut avoiding their overgrowth. Besides changing the final appearance of the fruit, since it makes the top part of the pineapple rounder, it also allows the plant to focus its energy on the development of the fruit itself, instead of the crown.<\/p>\n
